Orientation, printed paper, printed film, main vitrine, George Paton Gallery Project Space, 2017
2.41 x 5.86 m

Influenced by the Vitrine nature of the George Paton Gallery Project Spaces, and indebted to help and advice from the University of Melbourne’s Brain Centre Imaging Unit, Orientation is inspired by scans of pre-motor activity within the brain, an area of study which links to the conscious control of our own movements… and also connects to the deep philosophical question of free will.
